The lead center of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO),theVikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), has announced online applications for Scientist/Engineer-SC posts. Engineering graduates and postgraduates wiibe ableto contribute to India’s optimistic space Journey. The recruitment will be conducted against 17 vacancies, and interested candidates will have to apply through online process using the official website.

Different disciplinary like Applied Mechanics, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Thermal & Fluid Systems, Control Systems, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Materials, and Industrial Safety.
Eligibility Criteria for the candidates
To be qualified, Candidates must have to hold a BE/BTech degree securing at least 65% marks or in case of CGPA 6.84/10. For ME/MTech, at least of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10 is needed. Required degree must be completed by October 6, 2025.
However, in case of age relaxations apply for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen categories. Candidates who have taken foreign degrees must produce an AIU equivalence certificate.
Steps to Apply
- Visit the official portal at https://www.vssc.gov.in/
- Select “Careers” and Click on “VSSC Scientist/Engineer Recruitment 2025”.
- Enroll with a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill in the online application form in details with personal, educational, and professional.
- Scan and upload copies of photograph, signature, and necessary documents.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit and download the application form for reference.
The application fee is Rs250 for all candidates. A full refund will be provided to SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, and female candidates after appearing in the written test.
Selection Process
Two stages will be followed to recruitment process. The written test will consist of three parts are as follows :
- Part A: 60 discipline-specific multiple-choice questions (75 minutes)
- Part B: 15 aptitude questions (30 minutes)
- Part C: 1 descriptive question (30 minutes)
Candidates have to pass each section to qualify the recruitment process. Candidates will be shortlisted,then An interview will be called in the ratio of 1:5 (five candidates per post). The final merit list will be prepared based on 50% weightage to the written test and 50% to the interview.
